In my 20+ years of design experience, with 7 years of team leadership experience, 10 years of strategy experience and 8 patents, I've delivered a wide variety of compelling solutions that align with business goals and drive strategy.
My focus is on helping users achieve valuable outcomes, getting jobs done, efficiently. Solutions include experiences ranging from mobile to desktop, from voice to touch to eye interactions. Industries range from consumer through commercial to public safety.
The research & design work is only half the work, the other half is getting the alignment, approval and designs implemented. I have a proven track record of successful collaborations working in very dynamic environments - with global & diverse teams from startups to corporate teams.

In a modern human centric organization, user research & design are weaved deeply into the fabric of the development process. This approach improves upon the traditional double diamond design process.
User research & design collaborate closely with strategy, product management, development and other stakeholders to ensure that the result of the development process are solutions, products and features that resonate with users. I.e. the result achieves valuable outcomes for the users.
User research & design contribute to an organization's success by uncovering answers to these three essential questions:
What valuable outcomes can we help users achieve?
This defines the solution(s).
How do we strategically achieve those outcomes?
This defines the products and services.
How do we tactically achieve those outcomes?
This defines the features.
3) Strategic transformation partner
Design is uniquely positioned to uncover the pain points that users encounter across the entire user journey. User centered insights can drive systemic and successful organizational innovation and transformation.
An example:
I spearheaded Motorola Solutions' transition from product-led to solution-led. This was primarily achieved through research, creation of ideal customer journeys and storytelling. We uncovered the core job-to-be-done as: 'Actively keep my people and property safe, so we can focus on being productive'. As a result, Motorola Solutions formed the 'Solving for Safer' organization which delivers industry specific comprehensive safety solutions.
